All of your basic needs can be met in the village (Villa Magante*).  However, Gaspar Hernandez to the west or Rio San Juan to the east provide more choices.  In particular, vegetables and fruits are much more plentiful in those two towns.  Tourists shops, pharmacy, petrol stations and other more specialized items may also be found there.  Larger shopping areas geared towards tourists may be found in Cabarete and Sosua.  In addition many vendors sell items along the roadside and at the beaches.
