One advantage of our rural location on the north coast is that the beaches are never busy.  The village beach is Playa Rogelio where the locals tend to go.  There are small restaurants, music and a lively Dominican scene to be enjoyed.  But nearby you can find a whole bay, Bahia Esmeralda, we call 'hidden beach' where almost no-one goes except us!  Although public nudism is against the law in the Dominican Republic if one is respectful and discreet many hours can be spent without clothes here.

Further afield are many other beaches to explore, including Playa Grande close to the world famous golf course.
